Strange, maybe you need to have Snow Leopard.
i've got a mac. do i just buy it through itunes or something?
Not sure if you've got to have Snow Leopard or not, but it should self-install when you get the latest update on your computer. You just go to the top corner where the little apple is and hit "software update". I'll post a link to the actual game in there once it releases.
to people above ^ when you click the apple in the top left corner and press app store option. You might have to get the most recent update to see it I think
What was development like for the iPhone? Is the leap from Flash hard? It's something I've been considering lately.
It's not hard, if anything it's a lot more involved. The exporting process, if you're using Flash for your artwork is a bit of a pain for animation. I still haven't found a real efficient way of making it work. Objective-C is a pretty big leap from AS3 and completely different than AS2, but if you've got the time to learn it all it can be pretty rewarding. Apples and oranges though.
i like apples and oranges
i thought you were more into bananas
How exciting!
What did you build Sushi Boy in for the app store, im using flash to build an iOS app atm but I was wondering about creating a HD version for desktop machines.
Built it in xcode using cocos2d
BUZZ IS YOU GOT THE WERD, MAIN MAN!
I downloading it right now

Good luck with that; I know the app market is getting ever more saturated so to have a succesful game is getting increasingly harder. I've no idea what the desktop Mac app store is like though. Best of luck with it anywho.

Luckily only a fraction of what comes through is that great, so indie developers still have a shot at some success.
